About the Presenter:

Lydia Michael

Lydia Michael is a marketing and brand strategist, adjunct professor, speaker, and author. She works with companies and organizations to develop brands and marketing strategies. Lydia is the founder and owner of Blended Collective, a multicultural marketing and brand consultancy. Her experience includes working with brands like Deloitte and L’Oréal in Germany where she was born and raised trilingual. Lydia’s work has been recognized with several diversity and marketing-centered awards. She leads workshops and speaks to audiences about topics such as multicultural marketing, brand love, entrepreneurship, and personal branding.

In her first book “Brand Love – Building Strong Consumer Brand Connections” published by Kogan Page in 2023, Lydia breaks down the process of building emotionally strong, long-lasting consumer-brand relationships that connect on a human level. Offering insight into the use of emotional and rational "Brand Love Drivers," she introduces "The Eight Brand Love Stages" model designed to inspire brand loyalty and advocacy, featuring exclusive interviews, multicultural case studies, and 100+ companies and brands such as Huda Beauty, LEGO, and Toyota in the book. Lydia enjoys being involved in the arts and culture community and is a member of the Board of Trustees at the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Wayne State University in Detroit and an M.B.A. in International Management from Pforzheim University in Germany. Lydia is a graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and teaches a digital marketing class at Lawrence Technological University.
